Protecting your personal data is our top priority. We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and the Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
This policy informs you about which personal data we collect, for what purposes we use it, and what rights you have.

3. Data Processing in the Context of Use

3.1 Registration and User Account

Data types: Name, address, e-mail, phone number, username, password, payment and billing information, vehicle data
Purpose: Provision and management of the account, posting of listings, communication with other users
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract)

3.2 Automatically Collected Data (Server Logs)

Data types: IP address, date/time of access, browser type/version, operating system, pages accessed
Purpose: Ensuring technical operation, IT security
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest)
Storage period: max. 30 days, then deletion or anonymization

3.3 Commercial Users

Additional data: Business registration, commercial register extract, ID document, tax ID
Purpose: Verification of business activity, compliance with legal obligations

3.4 Communication & Support

Data types: Name, contact details, content of the request

3.5 Newsletter

Procedure: Double opt-in registration, unsubscribe possible at any time
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent) in conjunction with Sec. 7 UWG (German Act against Unfair Competition)

4. Cookies

Our website uses so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies). Google Tag Manager

Our website uses Google Tag Manager, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The Google Tag Manager allows the management of website tags via an interface. It does not set cookies or collect personal data itself. However, it may trigger other tags that in turn collect data. The Google Tag Manager does not access this data.

Legal basis: Your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
Since data (e.g., IP address) may be transferred to the USA, we have agreed on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR with Google.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics uses cookies that allow an analysis of the use of our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

We have activated IP anonymization so that your IP address is shortened within the EU/EEA before transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

We have concluded Standard Contractual Clauses with Google to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

Google Maps

Our website uses the map service Google Maps (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to provide interactive maps.

5. Data Disclosure

5.1 To Other Users

After the successful completion of an auction or “Buy Now” option, contact information is exchanged between buyer and seller.

5.2 To Service Providers

We use IT service providers, hosting providers, and payment service providers – all of whom process data only under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

5.3 To Authorities

Only where there is a legal obligation (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

6. Data Transfers to Third Countries

If we use services from companies outside the EEA (e.g. cloud providers), this is done only if:

an adequacy decision of the EU Commission exists (e.g. EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework), or

Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR have been agreed.

7. Storage Period

We store personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations.
After the expiry of these periods, the data will be deleted or anonymized.
